With Whole Home Solar MCH will help you design and install a solar system that will generate enough energy to power your whole house. You will be able to save money on your monthly electric bill, and the peace of mind knowing your home is generating its own energy. We understand that most people do not want their homes to look like they are part of some science project so we have worked with some of the best installers in the country on making these systems look factory installed. If you can dream it, MCH can build it. When paired with a geothermal system you can get your entire building off the grid.

Are Solar Panels Worth the Expense?

Solar panels are highly effective and worthy of consideration when looking to cultivate and control electrical consumption and costs. Understanding the benefits of solar panels in an area will help determine whether or not to invest in them. Solar power is a viable means for controlling costs when it comes to heating, cooling, and lighting. With a properly installed solar system, there is no need to upgrade or even change your existing wiring or even the service you have coming in to your house. However if you are worried about the age of your wiring our electricians can inspect and make recommendations for upgrading your homes wiring.

A photovoltaic (PV) cell provides electricity if exposed to sunlight. Also known as a solar cell, it is the basic building block of solar panels. Today's silicon-based solar cells are produced in large, automated factories and can be engineered to be less expensive than the relatively fragile first-generation models that required intensive hand assembly.

How Does Solar Work?

Solar panels capture sunlight and turn it into energy to be used in your home. Some of the light is reflected by the panel's surface, and some of it is absorbed and turned into heat. However, if a solar panel becomes hot enough, the heat will transfer into the panel and cause non-useful vibrations known as "photons". When photons rattle electrons loose from atoms inside the solar panel, these latter particles are termed "electrons." These free electrons are what generate electricity, which can then be channeled into your home's electrical system.

Get funding to start your next Solar Project

Pathway Lending is our strategic partner helping business and non-profits gain the financing they need to start their next solar project.

We are excited to be working with Pathway Lending to help businesses take advantage of this low interest loan program. The loan can be used to make energy saving improvements (lighting, cool roofs, HVAC upgrades, hot water/boilers, solar panels) or renewable energy installations. This is a great way to make your facility more efficient while saving money on utility bills and contributing to a cleaner environment.

We are excited to be working with Pathway Lending to help businesses and non-profits with facilities in Tennessee gain access to EE loans ranging from $20K to $5M at interest rates as low as 2%. This program is in partnership with the State of Tennessee and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).

Solar Tax Credits

Homeowners can get tax credits on solar energy systems under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Federal income tax credits for energy efficiency home improvements will be available through 2032.
